VETERINARY SURGEONS An Act to make provision for the registration of persons qualified to practise veterinary surgery, the restriction of the practice thereof by unqualified persons and generally for the regulation of the practice of veterinary surgery and matters incidental thereto.

[Assent 12th July, ] [Commencement 1st April, ] 1. The Veterinary Surgeons Act This act prohibits anyone from carrying out: the diagnosis of conditions; the conduct of treatments; and performing surgical procedures on animals unless that person is a 'Registered Veterinary Surgeon' with The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).

AN ACT. entitled. Veterinary Surgeons ActBeing an Act to provide for the registration and provisional registration of veterinary surgeons, and for related purposes. PART I. – PRELIMINARY.

INTERPRETATION. (1) In this Act, unless the contrary intention appears– “the Board” means the Veterinary Surgeons Board of Papua New Guinea.
